Hello All,
So I did some horse trading and go another transmission for my 1980 fxwg.  It's new aftermarket, what my wallet could stand....please forgive me.

Anyway, the clutch pushrod seems to be too short.  The clutch hub goes on ok.  I thought the main shaft was too short, but this model for this year, is the longer main shaft.

In a box of parts I got with this transmission was what looked like a spacer that fits in the mainshaft and would make the pushrod work with the clutch screw.  Has anyone seen this before?
Or just a longer clutch screw would work if there is such a thing.

Let me know if this is completely wrong.

Thanks in advance!

In cases like this I usually go to J&P cycle online and look for exploded views.
Check out 'clutch push rod' and see if your make model is there and if the pro-clutch (looks like what you got there) is listed too.
As I recall replacing the stock 3 finger with a pro-clutch a short shaft extension that fit in the oil seal of the clutch nut and was in the kit.

I think that you have "the fix" in your fingers.

Cowpie type?

That extension is what you need.  Or at least it is in my OEM.
