Just CC'd a set of 2015 wet heads, thought these were would be close to a 103 air cooled @ 85 CC'S ,WT heads 79 & 80
That would set static 10.3 & CCP roughly 222.
Then up grade to a HD 110 drop on Cylinders & piston kit all else being the same yields a static Comp 10.92 & a CCP of roughly 237

How does this kit work on a stock bike?

water cooled stuff can run a lot more compression than air cooled,CCP can still be adjusted with cams,i highly doubt anyones going with a 110 kit & stock cams anyway

My point being that HD makes the same piston/cylinder kit for the twin cooled from 103 to 110 but it makes the CCP so high how are they getting away with it on a completely stock bike! Never done a CCP on one but buy the numbers its crazy. Even if a guy goes to say a 40close intake. Lets say .003 in the hole,79 CC'S,.030 HG still @ 11.30 static 221CCP!  :nix:

Air cooled factory 110 motors are in the 220ccp range. And the 255 cams close at what, 25°?

Which is why they started using the ACRs!
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

So why is the 200 CCP the magic # ?

Maybe because ~200 CCP brings the corrected CR to approximately 9.5:1, and that's an appropriate range for 91/93 octane street fuel & a good tune?
