I don't know anyone who has physically disassembled any of the various HD ECMs to see the chip set.

i'm a firmware engineer and i'm interested in how things work.   obviously someone knows what they are since there are flash tuners that can modify the code.  impossible to do without knowing the instruction set (and therefore the uC architecture).
