Who would you guys recommend to "message" these heads for all out drag racing.... 13-14 to 1 comp. 124".... And I would like the motor to last at least a season!

rigidthumper

Dan Baisley or  John Sachs would be at the top of the list.
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

SA Racing, Baisley, Lozano or Dahl if you want to get deep into the 400 plus flow numbers-not just high 300's, low 400's...
200 plus hp with the right components...just look who runs what in the v twin gas classes winners circle.
Bust out your wallet and get out of their way-

Thanks for the input guys!... debating on going with the heads on my existing motor, and maybe getting low 6's with my current bike?... Or just saying the hell with it and building another bike with a 143"!....I'm really wanting a 5 1/2 second V-Twin!

I assume you are talking ⅛ mile times. What does the rest of the bike look like?

08 Softail Crossbones with a FL Springer  front end..... It's a Tank!

Low 6's to mid 5 's .......... I had to look that up for 1/4 Mile lol ............. Your looking to run mid 9's to mid 8's ........... That would be scary with a springer!  :SM:

That's a tall order! But a set of B2's will help for sure!

You will find that a trip to the "REAL" All Harley Drags can be a Humbling Experience...
Can't blame a Guy for trying...good Luck...

That is a fact! ^^^ ............. It takes a pretty wild bike to run 9's or better! ........... For that matter it takes a pretty sweet bike to get 11's! ....... On a Harley anyways!

But Don't give up! ........... Got to start somewhere!  Stock frame bikes like you have will need about 150HP to run High 10's ......... and that is once you get the bike working good and can ride it well ......... Every stock frame big twin I have scaled were around 600 Lbs (I'm talking Softails , FXR"s old 4 speed bikes and Dynas) add your weight as well ..........

Lets say your 180 lbs and the bike is 780 total race weight .......... Doing a quick check you world be able to run 10.00 with 150 HP ......... and 9.20's with 200 HP But keep in mind that is pretty much on a perfect run and that's never going to happen........... Remember that is a best case! its often a 1/2 sec off or so .......

I can think of a few bikes based off a softail frame I seen at a AMRA race this year ..... one has around 160 HP and runs low 10's ....... but years of racing that bike and its a drag bike ..... Not sure if your looking for a street / strip deal? ......... But light weight and big power is what you need!

If your doing a Track only bike I would sell the one you have now ..... and look for a light weight Frame ......... Something like a D&G chassis

High tens is about 120,running 150+ ,you'll be in the 8's

.  Thanks!! You made me feel pretty good!!.... my current best 1/4 mile ET is 10.33 @ 126 mph!! And I have no intention of giving up!.... I've been looking for a used Moly chassis for TC and have not had any luck!!... Is there a reason nobody uses a twin cam?

Jonny Cash

  Bike runs strong!  I'd say anyone mentioned so far is pretty good.  My only experience is with Jim Libo, and you can't really go wrong there. Lots of strong running bikes with b2's by Gregg Dahl, got to see a couple in action last month in NC, very strong engines
Accurate information is expensive, rare and difficult to find!

No Balancers

2006FXDCI

Kadafi's GMS built carbon fiber road king runs 9.02 with Gregg Dahl piloting it . Motor is conservatively 250 hp and the bike is under 700 pounds . Gonna cost allot to get much faster using a twin cam platform engine .
