Tourer solo seats: comfort opinions please...

As above. I want to buy a solo seat but comfort is the priority. I generally do 250-400 mile days.

Any recommendations?

I also have a Corbin solo, after a 2500 mile break in I can easily do 500 miles plus.
If I had a Road King I would try the Police solo.

I have a Mustang Wide Touring on my Electra Glide. Initially it feels quite hard, but my butt settles in after a few miles. The only negative for me, is that it's wide at the front, and slightly hampers me flat footing the ground.

Maddo,-is flat footing it an issue with the stock seat? If not, Mustang Super Touring Solo is an all day, day after day, seat. Also available with driver backrest

  Not a 'solo' seat, but I swear by the Mustang Sport Touring seat. Not as wide as the standard touring seat, and the bike still looks good when I take the trunk off. Accepts a Mustang or Harley driver backrest. THE OL loves it, and I can do 800+ miles in a day, several days in a row.

Neither is an issue, strong back from MX and 6' tall.

I have a superb modded FLHRC seat which I use for big trips, I just want a single for shows and day trips.

Another vote for the police seat - been using them for years for distance riding like you indicated.
I use the Kong dog toy instead of the air bladder or spring unit that's used on the newer police models.

I had a problem with my '17 Slim seat, probably the worst seat HD ever made..The guys on this site suggested bringing it to Mean City Cycle. They did a great job modifying it, I even sent my Deluxe stock seat to them.

A seat that works for one dosent always work for everyone , everyones ass is different , I love corbins but cant ride real far with them ( and ive had a lot of them), borrow a seat and try it or find a used one cheap enough you can resell and get your money back if it dosent work ,

Solid advice HB, I'll do as you suggest. Police seats are out, I run a really low bar (Klockwerks king Mentele), a much higher seat would bugger the whole footboards/highway pegs/seat/bar ergos that I love, as well as raising the yaw centre and changing the handling.
