well hell, dropped the bike sat.
no fun.
I ok, badly bruised foot/leg.  dog just fine.
yeah, a damn dog.
he bounded our right in front of me.
either center punch the stupid dog or dump bike.
really,  I would have center punched the dog if chasing me on street.
but this particular MUTT is mine in his own yard.
coming in he  greets me on carport side of drive.
I look for him. sat he came from other way. just never does that. sooo, I in dirt part of parking/drive.
just tossed it.

scuffed up frame and stuff. cracked right side mirror. took out right front turn signal plastic.
but main  thing is broke front brake lever.
no local parts. on line stock lever is just way to $$ sticker shock.
any ideas?

well, after research I shall answer my own question
for next guy that snaps a lever.
the net says gsxr 600 levers work.
figuring lots of them around.
looked further.
all ya gotta do is grind here and drill there.
well no. and the import stuff for them is not cheap either.
a few mismatched looking units from amazon and fee-bay brought no joy.
then I found a nice pair. adjustable play for both clutch and brake.
nice lever adj not the hard to use stock round deal.
they had a tad more down drop, but once on easier to use.
got both so have matching pair.
got both for less than one stocker.
stock price is 21.95  lol  but local ex-buell dealer said he gets $45 for them.
yeah,  no.  hence the search.

so for about $25 got a pair of decent looking and working levers.
a nice feature is a notch bout 3/4 way back molded in.
its for purpose breaking.
when mine broke it was at pivot . also bending down. so it made brake unusable.
if these go down still have use of shorter brake and clutch.
only one con is they not smooth rounded, have a bit of a bevel right where  fingers hit.
I always wear gloves and only noticed it when fitting and installing.
if noticeable while riding I will take to a belt sander and round off.
not a deal breaker.

blinker, got a set made in tiwan for a duc or triumph. they go right into the holes for stockers.
$8 for the pair complete vs $6 for one lens alone stock.

Well it ain't all bad, you found a nice pair, a matching pair, and a $25 pair. Not bad even if they not smooth rounded and have a bevel. Oh wait,,,,,,, different pairs never mind.
