tire/fender clearance 1996 roadking
« on: January 14, 2018, 05:59:04 PM »
I was in the process of fitting up the docking hardware on my 1996 roadking. I noticed that on the right hand side of the bike I can fit my fingers between the fender lip and the sidewall of the tire but on the left side I only have about about 1/4" to 7/16 in clearance. Is this normal? I bought the bike used (first Harley) and definitely have had to fix a lot of stuff the previous owner hacked together.

Some models are not centered to the rear fender to be in alignment. Best investment is to buy a shop manual for your model & year. It will save you thousands!

koko3052 that's good to know about the rear wheel not being centered on some models. thank you. I have a factory service manual and its been a great investment.
