Getting Pix out of the Camera, Pt1, (using Explorer)
« on: February 18, 2009, 08:38:51 PM »
OK, I connected my Sony Cyber-Shot to the computer via the USB cable and opened the File Explorer
The Removable Disk (F:) is the Camera

I then drill down through the drives directory structure until I get to the pix

once there I select the pix I want to copy, then drag and drop them onto the directory I've created for them, Clint.  (I cheated, switched tasks and created the Clint directory while drilling down)

The files in the Client directory can then be manipulated, resized, edited, etc, and then be uploaded to an Image Hosting site.

One of the many Image Viewers can also be used to get the pix from the camera to a directory on the hard disk.  My favourite is FastStone Image Viewer, I'll capture some pix later this PM.
