Street glide rear signal bar on an electraglide
« on: April 13, 2018, 08:20:49 PM »
I just picked up a 2012 electra glide classic. I want to relocate the license plate to below the tail light. Would a rear light bar off a street glide be fit with out much hastle. Im installing a detachable tour pack and the plate mount that cones in the kit is terrible looking.

I'm sure you can find the right year of parts to match the electrical connections. I went the Road King route as I think it looks better with the EG rear fender.

I used parts that fit a 2009 Road King, same year as this bike.

I am doing the same thing to my new-to-me 2012 Road Glide. I bought a RG signal bar with the brake/run/flash, but it didnt fit, it hit the brake light lens. Part # was 73314-10 so dont buy that one-lol. I ended up buying the Kuryakyn signal bar with plate light.  Maybe if you can find an older Street Glide signal bar from when they also had a separate brake light, not sure what year they changed

Tail end of my '02 FLHT. I know, WTF with the inspection sticker. No longer required in Texas so it's gone now. SG facia and tri bar light with Kuryakyn light bar/plate holder.

I put a 09 street glide light bar (bullets with tag under) on my 09 EG standard (lollipops with tag under). 09 has the large tail/brake light on all models and many have tag light and mount under the lamp. Only problem is the tag frame may hit the big ugly tip lamp on ultra/limited and the tag lamp will need to be spliced in.

I did the HD removable tour pack kit. Comes with signal lights that attach to the rear of the bags. I then sourced a tailight with lower clearview and curved plate bracket. No light bar. Have a pic but having trouble posting it.

Davedeluxe. Your bike looks great. I picked up a plate mount and a new tail light with the lower plate light. I really like the bag lights. The kit I got didn't have those lights but I'm going to order a set. thanks for the photos
