Camshaft Identification +1

I have a 1992 Sporty. While chasing a noise I didn't like I opened the cam chest. Previous owner told me it had racing cams but no other info. The numbers on the back of a couple of them are 38539 15-4 and 38537 15-4. Any ideas what I have here?

SE .497 lift, aka "SE bolt-ins" (from the days when it was their only bolt-in offering). Fourth down in this list:

You were looking at the number 4 cam (front exhaust). The others are numbered 15-1, 15-2, 15-3.

It's an extremely popular set of cams. Came stock in several Buell models from 1996 though 2002. And for the models that didn't come with it, it was a popular upgrade.

The factory guys refer to them as "B" cams, and and I've been told that some of the later sets were labeled 1B, 2B, 3B, 4B. But every set I've personally seen has been labeled 15-1/2/3/4.

Also called "Lightning Cams", because they first appeared in 1996 Buell S1 Lightning models. All S1's & S1W's had them, all S3's had them, all X1's had them, and international M2's had them.

I was told, by a factory guy, that it's literally the same cam grind as the Andrews N4, despite some slight differences in the specs. But I've never made an attempt to prove it.
