My newest 2 wheel wallet suck  :teeth:
Completely original, numbers matching...except for motor, trans, gauges, foot controls, bars, wheels, pegs, seat..
Ok if want to nick pic the only numbers that match are the tile and frame  :SM:

And in the spirit of "this is exactly what I have been looking for...except"
Mids got here last night, D&D gets here today. Then that front wheel..that looks good now but living beachside the maintenance will be way too much.
So there will be a pile of parts to give away  :slap: I mean sell.
Other than that it pulls like a freight train and gets great millage  :SM:

Too bad you're getting rid of that wheel, it looks great. Sweet looking ride you have there. Is that a TP 121 motor?

Thanks! Yes its growing on me, not sure of the width but 3+ as the tire is a lot bigger than it first looks like.
I should introduce properly..'99 with a 121 tp (so that's what a .650 cam sounds like!) Baker 6 speed. Arresting Red I believe.

My recently refreshed 89 FXRP.
It was a basket case when I got it a few months ago.  The gas tank and frame had so much paint on them that they had to be sand blasted to get it all off.  I didn't go through the engine or tranny, both seemed to be OK.  I just added an EV27 cam...
I went to mid controls, hydraulic clutch to clear the brake pedal, fairing, T-bars, seat, Thunder Header, chain conversion, new bearings/races in wheels and neck.

Bought her in june 2016, gave it a little TLC & fresh fluids and took her on a summertrip to the (German) Black Forest.
Didn't miss a beat ;-)
Grrrreat bike for the twisties as well as the German Autobahn doin' 80-90 mph for hours !

Latest version of the '82 FXRS minus the shovel engine and a 113" evo installed while the shovel bottom end is being redone.
Hey Bkache,
How was that shovel to evo swap?  Did you have to replace anything with the primary or did she bolt right up?
Thanks

Hi BTalley,
The evo swap was quite straight forward. Left side did need a bit of grinding so the mid controls would not scrape/bind. The right side was a bit more difficult. The shovel clutch end support would not work with the 1.5" wider 113"'er. I made a new bracket. The brake lever needed a good 3/8" spacer so as not to hit the nosecone. The Fat Boy pipes ($50 craigslist purchase) needed a bracket to attach the pipes to the trans case. Lots of weight from the stock pipes to rest on the '82 FXRS rear mount. The shovel RBRacing LSR pipe is much lighter. I plan on swapping the shovel engine back in by Easter. 113" evo will then be for sale. The stock FB pipes are a bit more restrictive but still had plenty o power for the light bike. I did take a hammer to the back of the softtail pipes to get them to miss the rear shock.

Thank You. The exhaust is a Fab 28 that I spent hours on polishing. I wasn't a big fan of the raw Stainless look, especially after they have seen some heat so the polishing was worth the effort.

Trans case & inner primary back from PC'g to match the new motor that's going in. Trans is getting a low miles gear set/shifter pawl etc., from my old 2004 bagger. Also late model hand controls, new handle bars and rewired.
