Thanks, but the TDC lift isn't listed in their specs on the web site.  It would be somewhere in the 0.190" to 0.230" range.

The overlap is 44
From their website
"These cams get from .004" to .053" in only 32 degrees"
This may help getting the TDC number approximated

I've have approximated, but I need to know the actual to research a set of cams for a 124. I suspect the TDC is near: intake = 0.220" and exhaust = 0.190".

I had decided on Red Shift 627's but they don't have them in gear drive.

Yes, no doubt it can be made as a custom, but there are other cams that are similar. I've been researching a few and making some calls.

TDC lifts on the BW 64G's  (directly from Craig at Lockwood Engineering when he ground my cams):

.218" Intake
.198" Exhaust

I have them going in my 117 bagger this spring.  I am upping compression from 10.7 static (with my Crane 296's), to 11.1 static with the BW64's.

And I am going from a conventional head CNC'd at Torque Monster MW, to a 110 head that Rick Ward CNC's for me.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. It looks to be decent timing events.

I have not heard back from them, and hate dealing with non responsive companies. Especially when you ask for pricing and delivery, it's like they can't be bothered with you.

I've been known to be stubborn at times.....  but Ray has converted another to the dark side.

Wanting to do something for my 124 as far as cams, the Red Shift I wanted isn't available in gear drive, probably once was. Lockwood Engineering doesn't get back with their customers, or I should say potential customer. Wes Brown answered my email on Monday, asked me to send him my phone number, told me when he'd call on Tuesday, and he did call when he said he would. I talked to him awhile about what I saw with my motor, gave him the head info, compression, TB, exhaust, etc. He convinced me to try the 630i cams.

So we'll see sometime this spring.

And it may be a great set of cams, it's hard to define them on timing events alone. Years ago we knew the Leinweber cams made great power due to the lobe profile with the timing events. His cams were a bit rough on valve train parts, more so than Wood cams. Until you rode a Shovel with solid lifters and a Leinweber, you've never heard valve noise. I guess that's why I don't really hear TC valve noise as a problem.

I've seen some pretty good results with that 630i, starting with Ray's bike. Wes told me that I'd see a difference in what I have and the 630i. He didn't strike me as a "sales man" speaking with him, rather a guy who's been down that road.

That's the exact feeling I got which is why I bought a set of 650's from him... I met him years ago, but talking to him again just reaffirmed it.

Wes has been at this Harley game for a long time.
He knows his stuff.
A salesman...he's not. An engine builder with tons of experience...he is. He won't steer you wrong.
