Piston Rings For SE Piston
« on: February 14, 2018, 03:41:54 AM »
I've got a set of old SE 95cu forged pistons. They are +0.005" and have part number 22877-00 and 22876-00 on each piston. They dome is different than the 22868-00. i cant identify the original part number so i ordered a ring set for the 22868-00 +0.010. The compression rings are ok, but the oil ring groove is 3mm, the ring set i ordered is 2.4mm.

Does anyone know what the pistons are from the numbers above, or a ring set with a 3mm oil ring? Top rings measure 0.058" (1.47mm). They were fitted around 2003 or 2004.

I ran into a similar issue with SE 110 pistons from early CVO's. On those early, or small batch pistons they subbed out though Arias Pistons, and they used different sized rings. I got a hold of Total seal ring company, and had them fill the special order, not cheap, but it can be done.
