2009, 110", FLTRSE, Cycle-Rama 595 cams.
« on: November 06, 2017, 03:45:55 PM »
I didn't build this, just swapped cams and tuned it.

Reverse engineering from the just under 200 ccp puts it in the 10.7:1 static range, also these heads have huge intake ports and I feel with a purpose built set of heads and known dimensions of the chambers and dome volume the left side would have been even better.

   on the tune.
What head castings, stock or SE 110
How was the clutch down low?
The cam looks to have plenty of upperend.
Thanks for posting.

Clutch was good. SE 110 heads.

The left side of the graph would have been better with the right heads. These are known for huge intake ports.

Would love to see the results of a "designed" build, maybe bringing up the left some...good results for a "pot luck" build. What cam did it replace?

Wow, pretty cool numbers and great job. Bet it's a blast to ride. When I see numbers like that I immediately think about flywheels being stock or reworked. I guess as long as a person doesn't just beat the heck out of it then maybe the stocker would hold up.

Thanks 98. Potent is the word I would use.

This customer was gracious enough to volunteer to be the first recipient under the pretense that if they didn't perform I would install a different cam set and re-tune.

Mirrmu, the tune was really in a mess and this bike had Dresser duals and Hi Output mufflers on it when dropped off so it's really not a fair comparison to the proven 585.

Onward and upward, looking forward to more builds with this cam.

Wes has created another winner!

None are available at the moment, but when they are in 8 weeks or so I am sure that Wes will have them in gear drive for 2007 up.

Wes said special order only on gear drive CR-595's but that he can get them a lot quicker than the chain drive's because they have the blanks in stock, 2-2.5 weeks.
