ECM stock reflash and SEPST flash
« on: November 10, 2017, 05:31:56 AM »
I wanted to share a personal experience, to warn concerned people.

I use both interface PV and SEPST. SEPST to flash "official" SE cal, then PV to read it in Dynojet format and go on working with it, using PV capabilities.
But of course, first of all, I pair the bike with the PV, and get a copy of the original stock tune.

We all know that when you flash the ECM using a SEPST, it sets a flag in the ECM "tuned for racing".

The "restore original tune" function of PV is supposed to set back the ECM in its original state, and it's what it does, EXCEPT THAT, in this case (after having flashed also with SEPST), the flag "racing" remains set!

So you've got your stock tune back, but the dealer can see you did something...
