2012, 110", FLTRX, SE 258, Aerocharger,
« on: December 06, 2017, 07:08:21 AM »
This is still an ongoing project .

Engine Has GMR CNC heads, S&S 110 Drop on kit , SE 258 cam comp is 10.2.1 S&S crank , Pump and Plate. Snow Meth kit with progressive control. Stock T/B ,  Boost is 12-14 PSI  T max tuner.  The turbo at this point is creating some issues.  Dealing with a turbo that is not allow great boost control .  Not going to get into that at this point. However this is where we are at now. Too say that the bike is a beast well yes it is .. The amount of roll on power is absolutely stunning 65 MPH bang on it and you are rewarded with a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB black streak down the pavement .

Chain drive kit and a Bandit clutch.

Going to play with a larger turbo in the future . If wants to make more power on the big end but I pulled timing back to keep it safe as boost wanting to increase  12-13 uner load is plenty  :wink:But for now customer is happy

What, only 173 ft lbs. at 3,000 rpm?  Kidding of course, I'd be afraid to own that, I know it would end bad....

That's a stellar job!

We slowed down how fast the turbo was coming on .. I can make it come in faster if I want but the issue is there is too much on tap now .. No need to bring it in any sooner..  You can see where I leveled the timing out .. As I said more in it but until we do something with the turbo this is where it will stay .

Well The HP line will go up that for sure it was climbing and the boost was as well . SO I flat lined the timing to stop it.. Best guess is 220-230 Hp and tq going up as well .. How much well until you do it know way to know for sure but if it makes 220-225 hp and 240-250 tq that should just about do it  :hyst:

Steve...did you ride it around the block?   :smilep:
That bike needs Velcro in the seat.

My bike at 3500 rpm's is like 100hp and 150tq...this bike at 3500 rpm's is 140hp and over 210tq.  :dgust:
I know what it's like to ride my bike...so this thing has to be just off the chain.

Nice job!

I have looked at this several times and it just a monster , good job . Driving that bike would require some good throttle control skills or plenty of band aids lol

It brings a new level of excrement.. It spools up extremely fast and by spool not just the turbo . You click through gears at an alarming rate of speed  . I know customer has been blowing away many import bikes that he rides with. One guy has a turbo busa . and yes on the big end he is faster. However from what I was told its a close race to the 145+ MPH mark with it going either way ..

Yes throttle control is needed . as you are able to spin the tire at 65-70 MPH if you want .  Hence the reason we did not bring the turbo in as fast as we could .

I was thinking that with the incredible amount of torque that was possible to break the tire loose at those speeds damn even I have limit's  on how much torque is needed .  I been on Indian bridge between OK and Texas and watched a group of busa drag race across the bridge . I sure that's a gray area while having a beer lol . No I did not line up with the Road glide lol . They I don't think turbo bikes . I was told that they do that every now and then . Hell of a show.

Is there an air or electric shifter on this thing, or is it still foot shift?

with the quick rise of power happening damn near off idle...it has to be a monster. Idle to 4K...it's just crazy insane the way it builds power.
That will satisfy anyone looking for "huge" power out of a HD.
That bike would get me hurt.

Well lol I was discussing the 110 going out to eat with the GF and she looked at me like had lost it when I mentioned how much hp the 110 makes over the Road glide .  Hell she was not real happy with the front up a tad on the 143 lol , . There is a fellow in Denton that has a turbo 124 and I think it or I was told 220 ish or that is what the sales guy in the Harley shop told me . Steve probably know him .  Damn that a hell of a lot of power lol If any one could do it Steve could lol

About 15 years ago I saw a guy with a turbo on a RoadKing, probably a 95" at best, and that thing just launched through the gears. Loved the pop-off valve.
Unfortunately, the local PoPo also saw him. He made it about two blocks.
Ever since, it has been on my list.

   :agree:    ...Jim.
There is flat out crazy wicked...and just crazy.
Just crazy get's me by just fine.
These bikes with power boosters like this one always interest me too.
Your 124 would make crazy power with a booster of some sort on it.
You just have to ask yourself...how far do I want to go?
I think your 143 will be plenty when it's done. It would be for me.

The 143 is in the re work process now. Once completed it will be a smooth running power house across the curve.. I too think a little turbo would be nice on the 143 I  mean after all its a hot rod right ??

Trask did one that was 300 Hp if I recall a few others have as well . Bolt it on and go .. Myself again would run a meth kit to keep everything in check and in the TX heat never an issue. Working on a TRUE bolt on Snow kit for meth now.. No more make your own set up.  Will have a drop in kit for the saddle bag with tank/pump combo . They are gaining popularity so why not .

Jim want to be the first ???  Just money after all
