Well that really came alive. Interesting with the smaller throttle body.

v Interesting choice of cams , I seen the results in smaller inch builds , always wondered what that cam would do in a 124 especially with a really good set of heads . How is the part throttle roll on . If you don't mind how would the ss 585 . Look good thanks Jim

Jamie, did you need to notch the piston deeper on the exhaust side with this cam?

Thanks.

Throttle response is instant as is roll on power. It's all in the combination; cam, smaller throttle body, exhaust, etc.. In this example optimized for torque and acceleration below the curve.

Perfect for a street bike, and especially a bagger to hit early, and in the prime powerband needed for pulling, cruzin', and overall power.
Add the low compression and this is a win/win.

The bigger stuff (more comp, bigger TB, pipe, huge intake, and I valve) really only works in the real world (not the internet fantasy world), for the few guys who actually use that big power in the higher rpm's, and guys with lighter bikes who actually like to spin it, or bigger motors like the 143" that need that extra real estate to breathe.

or......for the laminated Dyno sheet crowd ("hey Billybob, check out the huge numbers my bike makes!")

I can't see it either but then I'm locked down to not being able to see photobucket type photos. Wish these could be saved directly to the post. It sure sounds interesting though. Still trying to come up with a game plan for my 124 build and lost of good combos out there.

You are welcome to host the image. The site that was hosting many of our forum images shut down, taking all of the images with it.  When time presents itself I will go thru the my assorted posts and re-establish the images.

Thank you Jamie and Coyote, I can see that. In the past I've just looked at the FM page to see if graphs are there. Not sure if our network changed or if something changed on the webpage. I used to go there to look at the 126" outlaw engine but after the change I just look at the graphs. I can't even find parts after just looking again. Enterprise networks can be a huge PITA with all of the security. Who knows what the problem is. Anyone else have problems finding parts or service work? Web design seems different so I'll try to remember to check it in my room.

Anyway, man what fun that would be. Curious about the cam chest in the crate engine as I was thinking that S&S uses a dedicated cam chest for their crate engines. Was this a cam that fits there engine with the original chest or did you need to swap to their different blue forged cam chest? Guess I should take the time to look it up, could be just a different option for their stock crate cam chest. I'm gonna guess on the injector size...5.3?

Another excellent build Jamie.

We used the 630HO cam with the dedicated gear driven oil pump & camchest that is standard issue in the crate engines.

What is the difference/advantage of super duals over the STD pipe or XXX pipe?

What is the difference/advantage of super duals over the STD pipe or XXX pipe?

The Super Duals are pretty well sized between the standard Jackpot 2/1/2 and the XXX. The Super Duals is a complete system and includes heat shields and crossover (we also offer them for 99-08 bikes), it also has a larger collector than the standard pipe. The XXX has larger tapered primaries and a much bigger collector than either of the other pipes and has higher HP potential. The customer in this thread already had the SuperDuals when he shipped us his bike, otherwise we would have used the XXX.
