SE exhaust port gaskets
« on: February 07, 2018, 10:44:06 AM »
Do the SE exhaust port gaskets 17048-98 work with the M8 heads? What are you guys using for performance exhaust installs? Motor will be getting D&D Billet Cat.

The parts book says use the same OEM gasket as the EVO and TC, 65324-83B, so I would think the SE will work fine.

The D&D pipe comes with real nice stainless gaskets.

C9247 Cometic is what D&D sends out. I use them when I need to space the exhaust from the cam cover. They're about twice as thick as the SE, but without the OEM taper.

The C9247 will work, but these are what has came with the D&D pipes I have received in the last 2 years.

The wire mesh is what I received, D&D is who told me who they get them from. I'm sure they have more than one style gasket they use.

I try to use those gaskets where possible. They can be leakers depending on the exhaust system.

Actually the new Cometic number is 68-9247, C9247 is the old number.
