simple wiring

i'mwiring 81 fxef. all I have is tail light, head light, horn, regulator, coil, electronic ignition. kickstart only. any help will be appreciated.

Are you starting from scratch or modifying a harness, stock ignition or aftermarket?

Have you looked at the sticky thread just above this one in the Shovelhead section, Wiring diagrams for most years and models? It should at least give you an idea what you need, delete what you don't.

     Are you using the stock rear fender with the breaker mounts in place? How about the ignition switch; stock one in stock place?

no starter or solenoid, no turn lights. i'll have headlight ,hi/low beam, horn, neutral light, tail/brake light, ignition switch, reg./rectifier, 12 volt battery,

Simple as can be on my shovel too. All black wires to boot. Except the Dyna S ignition stuff. Only thing I do different is instead of a neutral light, have the oil pressure light hooked up. Only comes on before kicking.
You can try and make something idiot-proof, but those idiots are so darn clever

I use dash mounted toggle switches to operate hi-lo beam,horn,and turn signals when i had them.

here are a few simple wiring pic that I have found. None of these are mine but I can not remember where they came from to give credit. I know this is a late post for this thread but maybe someone can use them.
