Sorry more people didn't show up for the meet n greets. They missed out on some good food. I've been watchin' the web cam on main street off and on this week. Friends of mine that were there had to cut their trip short. One of their mom's passed Thursday. They loaded up the bikes on Wednesday but didn't make it back to Michigan until Friday. Going to a funeral on Tuesday. On a good note the weather is warming up. Thanks for the pics Grumpy....

I never did like those Big Wheels. A 21" or 23" is about the max I care for.

Grumpy;

Thanks for the photos.  Its the next best thing to being at Daytona Bike Week.  Ill bet Lisa is busy based on the amount of people around.  Hopefully shell make some good tip money this week.

Your breakfasts look like theyre getting better.  It appears to be a good portion.  See many of the new Indian Motorcycles around?  They would interest me more if there was a good dealer network.  Meanwhile Ill ride my RG.  Im too old to worry about a new bike anyway.  Its been a while since Ive spotted a lemonade stand.  Im glad you stopped.  The young lad in the wheel chair has a chair that looks very similar to my boys chair.  He just replaced both drive motors, the control console, and put in two new batteries.  Those chairs are expensive to maintain.

I see a few crazy drivers in your photos.  Its pretty hard to make a u-turn in a long wheelbase pickup.  I even have problems sometimes in parking ramps.  It appears to me that the Big Wheel bikes have a front tire tall enough to block out part of the headlamp pattern.   I dont have any experience with the large front wheels mine works good.

I wish more people would come to your meet & greet.  Its a lot of work for only a few people.  Thanks again for the photos.

Thanks for the pics Grumpy. I remember when you had your meet and greets at the Legion there seemed to be quite a few people show up. I know one thing , if I was down this time I sure would show up for your good chili and friendship.
I think '08 was the last time I was down at your meet and greets. '09 we came down but got there Thursday night and it rained Friday. Rode around a bit Saturday and Monday my son and I took off for Key West and then up the gulf coast. I made a few more trips down in '09 but that was to paint the outside of their house and move my son, his wife and girls up to Maryland. Quite a few trips with a 6X12 box trailer. Haven't been back since but maybe someday.

hi grumpy,
glad we got to stop by and see you! sorry we were late but we wasn't gonna miss stopping in. bike week just don't seem the same as it use to. before you would get back home and say dam we had fun, now its like we went because it was what we were suppose to do, but the fun we use to have now is just ok! maybe its the changing people and times, but just not the same as a few years ago. I guess that's part of the reason people don't show up at the meet&greets, plus a lot cant or don't ride anymore because of age or what have you. some these new riders you probably wouldn't want to show up anyway from what we saw on main street. well when ever we are close we will be by to see you. if ever on the ms coast and need anything you feel free to contact us anytime.
your friends,
terry & sherri

Ah... Junior's diner... I go by that all the time. Didn't realized it had changed... I'm always looking at the condos where smokey's place used to be to see if they are selling yet.

We have made it a regular event trip in search of the best sausage gravy and biscuits in the area.... no small feat since we are all southerners.

Terry, just call the home number if you're in the area.

CW, yep that's it.  I forgot about it being Juniors.  I only ate there twice.
