Comp at 45,000 miles
« on: July 17, 2015, 05:00:32 AM »
This is in a  2008 Ultra. This is one of the very first Compensaver  kits installed. So this would be the old version of our kit and the SE comp.

It now has 45,000 + miles on it. The pics speak for themselves. The magnet is doing its job very well also. This guy runs 2 up and has a side car about 1/2 the time. Changes the primary oil at the recommended 10k intervals and has never serviced from time I installed the kit.

Good long term test. Lack of wear,  no surprise but more primary debri then I figured. Then again it is 45k and not touched.

Was this using HD primary oil or something else ? Just wondering. Looks good!

:bf: I've seen the spokes and they are fine. It was a basic inspection, clean out the debri trap in the retainer and tray and reassemble.  Maybe Steve can find the missing pic and post it?

I would like to see this as well. Those pieces on mine look just fine, but the spokes look fairly horrid. The sprocket is softer than the cam so the cam will look good even when the spokes are toast. I'm looking at getting the Compensaver for mine.
