J&M CB Question
« on: July 24, 2017, 07:06:02 PM »
Anyone using the J&M CB with the integrated intercom?  If so, I am interested in how the intercom is activated.  Is it activated by voice break or a PTT type of button?

I opened up one I have on the shelf and it must be vox on the intercom. Sorry for the bad info.

I just called J&M as I was wondering too. The CB is PTT, the intercom is VOX with no setting other than volume.
I am an adult?? When did that happen, and how do I make it stop?!

Yeah, that's what I found after I read the instructions.

Did they mention if their intercom function plays with H-D's intercom system?

???

Intercom is from rider to passenger. If you have a Harley intercom you don't need the J&M.

If you are referring to the CB, it is a standard 40 channel CB radio and runs the same channels as all 40 channel CB raios.

I was told you need to use J&M headsets.

I was told you need to use J&M headsets.

Most likely because the J&M uses a different connector than the H-D headsets do.

Correct...and now that I have it installed, Coyote and PoorUB are correct, the intercom is VOX activated and the CD is PTT.  One volume  control for the CB and One for the intercom.
