Apologies in advance if this turns into a 17 page discussion but is the Bel Ray 20w50 mineral oil for the EVO, is it a Castrol product?

Yeah I saw that. But from reading that it looks like they are a stand alone company. Canadian Tire sells a 4 litre jug of Castrol 20w50 for $29 ($20 when on sale) and I wondered if it was the same product in a different package....?

Save a few bucks, Quick Silver/ Mercury Marine. 20-50 Full syn  5 L  $25.00 USD at Wally world.  Running it the last 3 oil changes. See 0 diff from any other oil I have run.

Prolly more $$ across the North border ?

Yes. Add 30% for exchange to start, so that's $32.50 right off the bat. Then add another mark up for whoever the importer is. Etc.

Hmm, might have to check out crappy tire here on the dry Wet Coast...
Well, checked out CT and found out any oil that might be compatible was more expensive than what the Mother Ship sells for on the West Coast in BC.
Hmm, sounds like im heading to the Queens City for a few days next week. :nix:  hope it doesnt start snowing through Rodgers Pass anytime soon.

Cause the focus is on value not spectrodynamic used motor oil analysis and the merits of one brand over another.

If that is the case, go buy the Castrol for $5 a litre.

ViseGrips
