Need to replace drive belt on '05 Road King. Normal riding.
Which brand to use, or does it really matter?  Stock H-D or aftermarket?
Need a 139tooth, 1 1/8" standard belt.
I see there are several aftermarket brands, don't know if they're all about the same, or if there are any I should shy away from.
Any suggestions?

I think a couple of areas that stock is really good are batteries, lifters, and belts.

It's not about gun control.
It's about CONTROL.

If changing the belt get the part#40040-05. Its the screaming eagle belt for you year. Kind of the same to the old sidecar belt, but thinner to fit your bike. I installed them in 2 bikes running in excess of 120tq with no problems.
