Old set of crusher mellow i was going to throw on to test a back pressure issue on a different bike and i cant get the tips off and bolts stuck. Drilled out bottom 2 bolts and removed the 3 on the end, tried pipe through center, did some pounding and they wont budge? Any tips?

Start soaking the whole thing with penetrant?

PB Blaster.   Don't be in a hurry. You wouldn't believe the rusted seized things I have got apart with that stuff..
Just keep soaking for a couple of days.

My last project with heavy rust involved removing the EGR valve on my 18 yo Ford Explorer.. Soaked it for a few days and that big hunk of rusty nut and threaded pipe came apart like it was new metal..
where's the points and condenser ?<br />Tom / aka motor

If you can immerse it in diesel fuel & leave it for a week, does the same thing. :potstir:
