I pulled the cam out of the '87 FXLR, which I picked up recently.  I was expecting to see the "L" stamped on it.  Instead it has a "V" stamped on it.  Anyone have info / specs on the "V" cam?  :nix:

Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

Yes, thank you.  Any idea why one of these would be put into n '87 FXLR instead of the "L" cam?

I lived in California in '88 and bought a new FXLR and the cam that was in it had negative overlap like the cam you have, maybe it's the same one.  The engine ran much better after I changed the cam to something better, exhaust got louder too.
