Shift shaft seal X 2

Thought I read somewhere that doubling up shift shaft seal was an option?  If so, good, bad and ugly.  Bike is a 2015 RG, 52 K miles.  Using cometic #C9354F5

Cometic C10213 is seal replacement for the HD 11000101 for your bike.  Here's good read.
