so what is the replacement part that H-D's making???

Is the plastic scoop the cheaper product you speak of?

That, or the integrated scoop in the outer primary covers.

 the updated instructions I used last year said to use the plastic scoop in conjunction with the Compensaver.

And if you buy a bike that has the updated compensator from HD from the factory, it has the scoop integral to the outer primary cover, The factory doesn't put plastic scoops on the bikes.
