is there any way to make side covers from a 2010 fit a 2000 road king?

The frame changed in 2009 and the grommet locations at the top are close to the same but the bottom pin on the later ones is farther down and the angle of the front edges is different.

I've done it. Made them fit a 96. Cut the hole off, or receiver on frame, for lack of a better description. Then weld it back on in the right location for the new side cover. Didn't weld it myself. Had a buddy come over and do it. Took him 10 minutes.
I thought I was wrong once but i was mistaken.

thanks, i may give it a try. i have other parts on the bike i made fit.

they were just to big to make fit
