Hi All,

I have a 2017 Fat Boy with Stage-IV and use the TTS DBC600-01-A0 file modified.
I use 98 Octane fuel and have advanced the Front & Rear Timing Maps a few degrees.
At idle I have 21 degrees.

With the engine running or look at VTune data, I only see 12 degrees advance at idle.

Why would this be the case?

Just because its said don't make it so

G'Day Mate,

Yep, all timing related tables are as they should be.
The Temp Correction is 0 Degrees in all cells around 30kPa.

Hilly13

Sorry mate I don't know why it would do that, hopefully someone that can help will chime in.

Post the map used & data master file?
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

Txwezl

closed throttle spark tables?

Fritzables

See attached.
Data file too large to upload - unless you know a way of uploading a 2 Meg ZIP file.

closed throttle spark tables?

That's probably it, they take over spark temp correction and main spark tables when the throttle is shut.

If I remember right there was a discussion about setting them the same as your main spark table some time ago, probably years now.

Other than having a huge amount of advance for a higher compression motor, nothing way out of the ordinary.
Email me the data file.

Sunny Jim

I zero my closed throttle spark by temp table and set my timing at 22 degrees.

Fritzables

Hey Sunny Jim,  by Zeroing the Closed Throttle, wouldn't also give you 0-Degrees at Idle irrespective of that you Timing tables have?

Fritz. My apologies ! I wasn't on the ball when I read your message. I was referring to closed throttle spark and idle spark control as seen on a PV .
For what it's worth I set my closed throttle at 22 degrees
And I set my idle spark control gain to Zero.
The bike idles well. Unlike myself!
