Got a customer who would like to run his 08 dyna on the track and get into the 11's He is about 150 lbs. approximately what kind of HP/Tq we need to get this done?

150/150 should be enough to get a dyna in the 11`s

Teach your son to ride, shoot and always speak the truth.

Back in my street racing days , it was common knowledge that it takes 600 h.p. to put a 3,000 lb. cage with 4;10-1 gears into the 10 s - id be surprised if theres not some math out there for motorcycles as well. Im thinking that 150 square should comfortable put that dyna into the low 11s , lots of variables there but you would have enough motor to do it.

Here's one. At 150lbs he has an advantage. I dropped 20lbs when I raced my Ninja.
I can't get below 200 without looking skinny...

Motorcycle Consumer News 5/16. V-Rod Muscle 11.73 @ 113.79  mph

rigidthumper

110 ponies, lots of practice, 60' times ~1.65 sec, and maybe a gearing change should get him into the 11 second club, trap speed of 114-117 MPH
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

Actually the 2002 vrod was quicker with the stock narrower tire and 1130cc. 11.38. The later fat tire 1250s were a tad slower out of the box.

11.88 @ 112 mph.
For me, mostly stock weight FXR (no shift assist etc.), with 96" engine making 112/106, with a mid to high 1.60's 60'.....

That was also a Motorcycle Consume News. Andrew Hines ran a 11.32 on a bone stock 2002 V-Rod.

On a stock bike, I think skill had more to do with it than money.
