24000 miles, chain on loose side but not hitting case.
After 3 minutes run time bike has a squak/bearing screetch noise, definitely from the primary.

No change when clutch is pulled or released, real bad 2000rpm or higher sitting idle.
Defintly has a comp noise when bike is shut off but i believe thats a diffrent issue from this bearing noise.
He changed fluid with HD formula + but only put in 1/2 quart give or take a shot glass. not sure how soon or how many miles he rode low on fluid but not more than 30 miles ide quess.
he said the noise was there before fluid change.

Probably a loose compensator nut. Open the primary to examine and disassmble the compensator to carefully clean the threads with acetone or brake cleaner and assemble it using red loctite torquing the nut to HD specs.

Does the sound stop when you drop it into gear?

If so, it is the inner primary bearing.

Comp was loose! Ive herd comps Knock, but the screech was new to me. Sounded as if a bearing was locking up.

Thanks for the insight.
