stock radio problems

06 RG radio quit. First screen went blank and then radio stopped playing. Of coarse I don't know now if it is on or not. When I did the self diagnoses the screen is on and clear. Don't understand how this works. If screen works on diagnostic why not all the time. The code it sent was 2017 front speaker open. Any ideas where to start
