I have a 41mm FLH front end on my 76FXE and want to swap it with a 35mm dual disc front end I have.  With the wheel I have I believe it will need a 10" rotor. My question is can I run this as a single disc instead of duals?  I don't have any of the brake components for the dual disc front end so I'll be buying everything I need.

11.5" rotors will not clear the caliper mounts on 35mm dual disc forks.

I chucked the rotors up in a lathe and reduced the OD to 11.25 to clear the caliper mounts on the fork legs.

Then I made brackets to adapt some Tokico 4 piston calipers off a Ninja to the forks.

The 10" rotor and crappy 2 piece single piston calipers provide stopping power that is weak at best. They rattle and wear crooked (uneven).
