Installed new IPB race, need IPB too?

Buttoning up my bike after a quad seal leak. Installed a new S&S tapered race. Is it necessary to install a new IPB also with the new race?

I have always heard you "should" install a new IPB if installing a new race. I installed my IPB 2 years ago when I put in the 6 speed and it has 14,000 miles on it & no sign of any wear that I can see. Just wondering if it's over kill?

I do just because I'm there. The bearing isn't likely bad, but since the aren't that expensive.....

It is certainly not overkill, I would not mix new and used bearing components.

Yeah, you guys are right. I have a spare in the gasket drawer anyway, what else to do on a cold Saturday anyway.

I worry about wear patterns, so if I replace 1 piece, I replace both.
