Anybody tried it?  Wondering if it's more durable than power coat?

I'm planning on having a local shop cerakote the wheels on my BMW. I think it is going to hold up to road use better then powder.
1) I've been told it is a thinner application than powder. That should allow it to hold up to chipping better
2) I believe it will be more resistant to chemicals etc than powder

The shop I'm going to use does a lot of custom firearms and their work is amazing. Just like paint and powder, the quality is in the prep.
