How much power are you putting into that factory 6 speed??

I have that Baker bearing in my 124 now, but only after I ripped 6 teeth off 3rd gear in the stock tranny & replaced it with an entire Baker tranny.

I think if you look at the cost, and you have to do yours because of a failure, the cost becomes only the difference in what you have to spend any way.  My only experience is with my grudge box but they sure look beefy and the set-up is very fine when it comes to clearances.  That says more control and less wear to me.

Ive put a couple in stock gearboxes after the stock output bearing failed early. One was around 20,000mi and the other was earlier. Nice and strong, but have to be set up right.

I installed the Grudge Box bearing in my stock H-D cruise drive six-speed.  I've got a 124".  It lasted about 20K miles before the seal between the pulley spacer and the large bearing seal started leaking.

I now have the Grudge Box transmission, and of course the Grudge Box bearing.  So, I've both installed and removed those bearings.

Do you know if that shop uses ceramic bearings for the Timken style sprocket shaft bearings in the engine too?

I don't think so.
