Hi..   I hope you all are well.  I've done some amateur powder coat here with good results on my vette..  (Intake..  Oil pan..  Etc.)

Anyone powder coat their jugs?

How does it wear?  Advice?

Particular type of semigloss black that works well?

Temperature specs or pics would really be great!

You need to be careful, because too much heat may distort the bore. Other than that if you have quality equipment, and powder you should be OK.

Does the powder coating retain the heat in the cyls.?

Did this one probably 10 years ago.

Candy powedercoat by SUMAX.
Was a 103 running about 125tq with no issues for more than 10 years. Sold the bike. Pain in the butt to keep clean compared to black wrinkle

Beautiful but I can see a lot of time spent keeping it looking good.

Powder and paint are basically the same thing, plastic. Powder tends to lay on thick. If you can keep the layer on the thin side, probably better for cooling.

By the way, you can get wrinkle texture powder. I had an oil tank and dash done with it, it looks good.
