30T swingarm mod?

If the axle slot is lengthened to run the stock belt with a 30t pulley on a touring model, is it necessary to gusset the end of the swingarm or not?

If you're a member on Eagle Riders CVO forum, go to "30T pulley with stock belt. 10 -7- 11", and you'll find the mod IMO, you need to do. Also, on the same forum "Gussets for swing arm. 7 - 17- 12."
