O2 Eliminators

Couple of questions. What's the difference between non heated eliminators and late model heated sensor eliminators? Why is there a different color for front and rear in the late models as well?

IIRC from changing my header pipe the different colors are so they get installed in the correct position.

Alignment tabs are different between F&R housings.
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

That would make sense. So, the only reason is to keep ECM reference for front and rear in the wiring itself? No other differences regarding the resistances between front and rear eliminators, otherwise, just connector tabbing?
