Have a 2014 limited wet head I am installing a set of street port heads on, the pistons are down in the hole .008, the heads have 83cc volume and I  have a cyclerama 570 cam with 32 degrees intake closing. I am going with a cometic .036 HG  It should have 10.8 static and 9.57 corrected comp. Im using a power vision tuner with target tune. Is this to much corrected compression for the street ?

Question-Do you have domed pistons?
If you are running the flat tops that came with that bike, you're at ~10:1 static, and that compression is not an issue, given an adequate tune..
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

The pistons are stock flat tops

You can enter the figures you have here, and see the effects on compression.
I would use .030" head gaskets and get a good tune, and run the snot out of it :)

Thanks I have been using Big Boyz calculator, after rechecking the deck height it is .007 on both pistons, if I go with this cam with the in. closing at 32 degrees Ill have 10.21 static and 9.70 corrected with a .030 HG and with a .036 HG 10.10 static and 9.59 corrected. I also have a Torqster 555 that has the in. closing at 37 degrees this cam will give me  10.21 static and 9.53 corrected with a .030 HG and 10.10 static and 9.42 corrected with a .036 HG. Decisions and Thanks for all replies

Easy answer. CR570 and .030" head gasket.  I don't  even have to think about it other than I might mill a touch off the heads. Pretty sure you can bump that compression  a bit higher with no worries.
I am an adult?? When did that happen, and how do I make it stop?!

hey topcat. wonder what a cr575 would do in your build. it like a little compression.

I was considering the cr 575, so I called wes at cr and asked him he said that he would go with the cr570 with my setup.
