Had my fair share of TC's apart, this pump is new to me!
Can someone explain how & what I need to do to disassemble & inspect.
Are there gaskets between the plates.
Looks like it may be a pain to reinstall as I assemble the pumps after the housing is installed.
Another shop did tensioners 2 years ago, thinking they installed because of wear on the cam plate. Crank R.O .003
Only reason for disassembly now is for 95"build with Cam's.
Thanks

Any markings on the plate/pump that would show who the manufacturer is?
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

A.K.A Daytona pump. I have one on my 95". They work well and (if weary) a new one can be had for about $120 :).

If the pump shows signs of wear, Drag Specialties offers:

09320219 Gerotor Scavenge - TC88/96
09320220 Gerotor Feed - TC88/96
09320221 Rebuild Kit - Drag TC88, partition plate and o-rings

Or....if you have the $$ the SE upgraded pump and hydraulic tensioners is a good upgrade.

On my 95" I bought a 07 and up cam plate and the Daytona pump to match the 07 plate. Andrews 48N conversion cam was used. Holds 30psi constantly and eliminated the silent cam chain in the rear.

Usually if the pump gears are worn, the pump body is junk. The inexpensive aftermarket replacement pumps work well.

This is on an 03 bagger, ask customer if he ever had low oil pressure,he said never dropped below 20 hot summer days.

Yes it is a drag part!

Any gaskets or O-Ring's between plates?
Ok to just to gently pry apart?

Those Drag pumps work very well.
Many folks feel the absolute burning need to install an S/E, red, or blue one, at 2 1/2 times the cost, when in actuality the OE HD pump is MORE than adequate to handle the oiling needs of even 124"/131" engines.
Proven that here, in no uncertain terms, for about 20 years now.
