Blinker grounding out

98 flsts . Right rear blinker works when not touching the bike and stops as soon as you touch the bike , Any suggestions where start ? Thanks

Where to start?

Pull the bulb, clean and inspect the socket, replace the bulb.

Found it.. I had to replace the housing and the wire colors were opposite of the harness , ie purple was black and black was purple.  The blinker was grounding out to the frame .
