Hey Guys, I have a 2018 FLHXS 107 that is stock, my touring ride so dependable is important. Going to put cam, lifters, adj push-rods, 2-1-2 exhaust, outlaw mufflers and various other stuff in. My question is should I use the updated factory oil pump cover and seal or go S&S plate and pump? I may in the future put a mild compression 124 kit in, not positive. This is not going to be a super hot rod.

Thanks everyone,   Joe

From my own personal experience I used the 8 lobe HD pump on my 126" build. I have 2000+ miles on the motor with no issues.

Does anyone have the part number for the latest 2020 style M8 Harley oil pump and price? I tried the Harley parts website and it was less than useless....
2018 Ultra Limited. Back in black!

62400247 oil/air cooled
62400248 water cooled
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

Just installed one in my 17 RG. Local Iowa dealer was $138.00

Does the 2020 oil pump require a new cam plate?

Go with the new 2020 pump and save the money.  I have the Feuling Race setup, which has been great, but would have preferred to save the coin with a MOCO option That I was confident about.  Seems HD just watched the aftermarket before producing the current pump and then combined their backplate with seal for a product that seams to be working pretty good.  No bad news that I've seen or heard about..

M1450 (and others) is in the Section

Is this a correction by HD to address the sumping issues that some M8s we're experiencing?
