Please confirm there is not a washer/spacer between the stator and rotor on the 2006 FLHXi. There wasn't one in there when we took it apart but want to make sure one doesn't belong in there before putting it back together. Thanks!

Does the 06 FLHXi have a spacer/washer between the stator and rotor? There wasn't one in there when we took it apart and need to make sure one isn't supposed to be in there when we put it back together. Thanks Service manual i have doesn't show a full diagram

Not seeing anything looking at the diagram on Ronnie's HD web site.

Don't think there's anything between those two items.

Check the Chain Alignment after you Torque the Compensator. <0.0010 = Good

To the OP. Using 0.001" as a tolerance for chain alignment is a very unrealistic value.

This chart is for the early 4 speed bikes with aluminum primary. You can see any of the acceptable ranges equate to 0.031" alignment or better. The tolerance for a newer bike wouldn't be any different.

Actually the late model, 2007 up there is only one shim that I know of, 10300021 and it's 0.031" thick.

Added: Actually I'm going to correct myself. The 10300021 shim is to tighten the compensater springs. I don't even think there is an OEM shim to change the motor sprocket alignment on a Twin Cam motor. If you think about it, when the compensater moves on the cams, the sprocket and chain will move in and out probably 0.030" to 0.040".
