Bought a set of these, for a 103 with Andrews 48. I use the inserts because I don't want the torque falling off. Problem is, they have a higher pitch "bark" when accelerating. Is there a way to tone these down a bit? I love the low rumble but that accompanied bark kinda gets to you in a hurry.

If you our current generation mufflers and have the dB inserts in place that is about a quiet as they are going to get insert wise, to mellow the tone you can however remove the full length louvered baffles and wrap them with muffler packing and that will provide a noticable difference with no change in performance.

I just bought them about a week or two ago, so I guess that's current generation.
