bike wont start

97 elec glide battery fully charged hit button starter just clicks just sitting elec shuts on an off with switch i suspect starter start looking tomorrow

Start with the battery cable connections. Clean and tighten.

HAD a 92 and it had a breaker i believe at the oil tank that i had to replace every now and then.

He appears to have power but the starter just clicks.  That's a classic bad connection symptom.

check battery again , or try jump start be careful dont over load circuit ,at the solenoid main wire to starter,

There is a large copper washer on the plunger inside the solenoid.  These often get pitted or burned.  You can remove the 3 small screws on the right end of the cover and slide the plunger out to check,  Can be cleaned up with a file or HD has a rebuild kit.

Put battery power to the solenoid at the green wire.....make sure it's in neutral.

Charge the battery and take it to an auto parts store, have it load tested.

copper washer was corrded an battery would have 12 volts under drain go down to 6 volts so new battery  thank you runs great again i love this site very helpfull
