Engine Swap

 Hey Guys, I was looking into buying an 86 883 4 speed, but had ideas of swapping out the engine with a 94 1200 5 speed I had. Will this work or what would I need to do.
Also while asking, what options are there to put a sport bike frt end on the 86 frame? Looking to go racing. Thanks
