I'm wondering if a  16" front wheel from a FLH could  have the 5/16 threads drilled out and taped to 3/8 and be ran on the rear ? I understand it's not the correct way to do things but wondering if anyone here has done it.

Check the spacing of the holes around the hub and also the width of the two different hubs.

Not enough meat for the drive side pulley bolts.
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

I drilled and tapped an 18" Airstrike front from '10 FLHX on the rear of an '02 FLHT. Had to adjust brake side space to center the wheel IIRC.
