Went and competed in the Hogs Gone Wild, M8 builders race in Gulfport MS this past weekend. We were 2nd fastest in the class, I might need to consider getting a Road King for future events. The RGS went 10.86 @ 125 in the quarter.
Had a blast and will probably do it again. Lol

If the government gives you everything you want,
it can take away everything you have.

Thanks. Here's the best pass, and Jeremy Williamson was doing the riding.

Nice! What's the weight?  Trap speed tells me there's a 10.50 in that setup.

Gonna put that sheet in the dyno section?
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

I haven't weighed it yet Robin.

I think once we get the wheelies under control the ET will get better.

It made 165 horsepower with the Shinko on it. This is a 130" build with WFO Larry's heads and a Burns pipe.

I bet some work on the clutch package will bring the launch wheelie under control.

Can't use an extended swing arm in the M8 challenge class and we have to use an A&S factory clutch.

I am going to try changing the gearing back to stock, it currently has a 30 tooth comp sprocket.

I feel your pain.  :banghead:  My bike would wheelie all the time just like yours is doing right now. Banging any of the 1st three gears and it would point the front tire skyward. I ended up changing the gearing and it helped it a bunch. Don't get me wrong...it will still yank the front tire off the ground if I try to. It will especially do it after I put a new back tire on it. Little rear wheel slip and a sticky tire and the headlight likes to look up at the sky.   :hyst:
You've done good Daren! You are definitely gettin it done. Keep up the great work.

   some super stiff shocks helped mine not wheelie as much

Are you allowed to strap the forks?

Are you allowed to strap the forks?
No we can't. Have to run a belt also.

Durwood

I posted the rules but I guess that's not allowed?

Definitely a 10.50 in that bike once the wheeling is better controlled... Nice run.
Always look forward...
